The Client:

Holland America is an American/British owned cruise line that's one of the oldest in the world.



The Challenge:

Holland America Line cruise line, asked us to build the digital home for their newest ship in a debut class, the ms Koningsdam. The trick was doing it before the ship was actually built.

Our Solution:

With years of experience in travel, the cruise industry and with Holland America Line, we set about creating an elegant, digital experience to bring their newest ship, the ms Koningsdam, to life.

Combining 3D images with CG motion videos that captured the ship’s grace and grandeur, we succeeded in igniting the imagination of the cruise fan audience and helped contribute to a stellar debut.

Simplicity was a major priority to the design. Clientele were older and used tablet devices more than computers. In addition, as our client was legally part of the hotel and travel industry, the site need to be compliant under the Americans With Disabilities act.

The Results:

By creating a super immersive experience as sophisticated as the ship itself, IQ's design paid off the signature service and style of Pinnacle-class cruising.
