The Client:

OCCU is a member-owned credit union based in Eugene, Oregon.


The Challenge:

Oregon Community Credit Union had a 60+ year history in the western half of Oregon with an especially devoted member base. Their site was outdated and their brand was long overdue a refresh.

IQ needed to appeal to younger generations, without alienating their older membership base. We need to promote what made OCCU "different" from other financial options in the area and develop clear brand pillars tied to their vision, mission, and value proposition.

Our Solution:

We redesigned OCCU's website to be responsive, more human, and really convey the emotional brand that OCCU has evolved to become.

The modern, clean site went from start to finish in Drupal in just 3 months. We shot all new content, including new photography and video testimonials all about the member experience. Because OCCU is member-owned and driven, it was natural to produce member-centered content.

Member Testimonials

Unlike typical member testimonial videos, OCCU members gave us content that was genuinely emotional and sincere. What was supposed to be a few video turned into so much more.

Throughout the site, we added member stories, quotes and features to keep the site always feeling warm, caring, and community-focused. Content could be regularly updated on the landing page and other parts of the site.

The Results:

OCCU experienced significantly increased site traffic. When it came to consumers using the site for product inquiries, the clarity of the new site brought fewer calls to call center than they were anticipating.
